Bio

Amadi Williams is a multidisciplinary artist from Brooklyn NY.  Her work explores giving a voice to the silenced and brings attention to social justice issues. Her pieces, rich in messages, aim to broaden audience perspectives and encourage advocacy.

Moving beyond her primary medium of painting, Amadi's work embraces a social justice narrative, drawing from her personal experiences and insights into Black culture and her identity as a black gay woman in America.

She employs mixed media to explore communication methods, challenging the eurocentric-binary and emphasizing minority representation. Amadi's art confronts stereotypes and promotes diverse representations in contemporary culture.
