Tyler Wood is a longtime resident of New York City having relocated with his partner to the Hudson Valley in 2022.

He attended St. John’s University, Pratt Institute, and Hunter College, studying Fine Art and Communication Design. After leaving NYC during the pandemic and relocating to Provincetown, Tyler became a resident at The Commons, where he proceeded to have his first show, The River.

Tyler lives and works in Kingston, NY, finding the Hudson Valley a great inspiration to his work. He strives to find the balance between self-expression and design by way of color, texture, and form. Constantly experimenting, Tyler’s newest paintings are transitioning from the style of WILDHOUR into an untextured form of oil painting where color and precision of materials are at the forefront.

These works are inspired largely by his new home alongside the Hudson River.
