Joey Parlett was born 1982 in Amherst, OH. In 2015 he was selected to participate in the Arctic Circle Residency along with a group of international artists and writers. In 2021 he was featured on the NY PBS documentary series “Flowstate /North Brooklyn Artists”. He has work included in the Pierogi Flat Files and the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Collection. He has exhibited nationally at numerous galleries including the former Pace Wildenstein Gallery in New York, NY, My Pet Ram in New York, NY, Rush Gallery in New York, NY, TSA NY in Brooklyn, NY, Trestle Gallery in Brooklyn, NY, and Transmitter Gallery in Brooklyn, NY.

In 2006 he received his MA from Kent State University.
